On the occasion of the 68th anniversary of the Victory in the Korea Fatherland Liberation War

On the occasion of the 68th anniversary of the Victory in the Korea Fatherland Liberation War, Mr. Marijan Kubik, Deputy Chief of SERBIAN NATIONAL COMMITTEE ON THE STUDY OF JUCHE IDEA, released the statement as follows:

 

On July 27, 1953 the Korean people won a victory in the Fatherland Liberation War against the armed invasion of the imperialist allied forces.

The great leader Kim Il Sung led the war to a great victory.

He liberated Korea in his early 30s through the bloody anti-Japanese war and led the Fatherland Liberation War to victory in his early 40s. He was an iron-willed brilliant commander who defeated two imperialist powers in one generation.

When the war broke out, it was five years after the country was liberated and a little over two years after the regular armed forces were founded.

More than 2 million-strong troops and over 73 million tons of war materials were mobilized to occupy such young country.

It was not an accident that the whole world watched with great concern the fate of the war with too great a difference between friend and foe.

With his outstanding and seasoned leadership, however, Comrade Kim Il Sung led the Korean army and people to victory.

The victory in the Fatherland Liberation War was that of the outstanding military wisdom, strategy and tactics of Comrade Kim Il Sung.

Comrade Kim Il Sung worked out strategy and tactics from the standpoint of Juche on the basis of a scientific analysis of the geographical characteristics of the country, the politico-ideological and military technical preparations of the army and people, the objective demand for conducting the war and the balance of forces between friend and foe.

His various and ever-changing tactics put the enemy to the disadvantage in succession.

Comrade Kim Il Sung led the Fatherland Liberation War to victory with his firm faith and optimism, great courage and confidence, warm love for and absolute trust in the service personnel and people.

Assured of the victory, he conceived a plan for postwar rehabilitation and construction and called the students back from the front for study during the war.

During the grim war he enforced the universal free medical care system and established orphanages, primary schools for orphans and schools for bereaved children. Such popular policies are told as the legend of love.

The brilliant victory in the Fatherland Liberation War was a victory of the iron-willed brilliant Commander Kim Il Sung; it was a victory of the Korean people firmly united around him and that of heroic Korea.

July 27 will shine as the eternal V-Day in the history of the country along with the exploits of President Kim Il Sung for victory in the war.
