2025, a Year Filled with Great Events and Transformations For the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, 2025 was a pivotal year when it confidently crossed the finish line of its efforts for carrying out the five-year plan set forth at the Eighth Congress of the Workers’ Party of Korea, and opened a new heyday of great events and transformations. True to the struggle orientation for the year advanced at several meetings including the Enlarged Meeting of the Eleventh Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the WPK, the major industrial sectors of the national economy overfulfilled their production plans through a steady struggle for increased production and economy, and the agricultural field reaped larger grain harvests than those of the previous year.
