DNR K oreja je danas kritikovala nedavnu zajedničku izjavu članica G7 koje su pozvale Pjongjang da odustane od razvoja zabranjenog oružja i da se uzdrži od provokativnih akcija. U saopštenju Ministarstva spoljnih poslova DNR Koreje kaže se da "takve opaske predstavljaju agresivno kršenje suvereniteta, kojim se pokušava uskračivanje ostvarivanja prava jedne suverene nacije, kao i da su one strano mešanje i neprihvatljiv provokativni čin .  Umesto što podstiče nepoverenje i konfrontaciju, G7 bi trebalo više da se fokusira na svoju prvobitnu misiju rešavanja sopstvenih ekonomskih pitanja".
