Visit to Kumsusan Palace of the Sun

 

Greeting the new year with confidence and optimism after seeing off the year 2021 that witnessed the clear victories etched in the history of the country along with the historic 8th Congress of the Party, the whole country is overflowing with great reverence for President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il, the founder and builders and the eternal leaders of our dignified and strong Party and state.

Kim Jong Un, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, visited the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun on January 1, Juche 111 (2022).

Accompanying him were Choe Ryong Hae, Jo Yong Won, Kim Tok Hun and Pak Jong Chon, members of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the WPK Central Committee, and members of the Party central leadership body.

Placed at the statues of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il was a flower basket from the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un.

Also laid before the statues were flower baskets in the names of the WPK Central Committee, the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK, the Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK and the Cabinet of the DPRK.

The respected General Secretary, together with the visitors, paid a high tribute to the statues of the great leaders.

At the halls where the great leaders lie in state, Kim Jong Un made New Year's bows to them as a token of his deepest reverence for them, who victoriously advanced the revolution and construction by dedicating their precious whole lives to laying the eternal cornerstone of prosperous socialist Korea and still today provide the people across the country with invincible power and courage and bless their brighter future by becoming the pillar of their faith.

The members of the Party central leadership body hardened their firm pledge to remain absolutely loyal to the idea and leadership of Kim Jong Un and fulfill their heavy responsibility given by the country and the people and thus make this year, in which a crucial struggle for expediting the overall development of socialist construction is expected, a year of great revolutionary auspicious event and another watershed in the great march towards the bright future.
