2022, Year of Victory for DPRK

For the Korean people, Juche 111 (2022) is a significant year which is replete with events that are worthy of note in the annals of their country.

This year they were faced with the task of switching over to the comprehensive development of socialist construction by carrying out the decisions of the Fourth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth WPK Central Committee.

The task was gigantic and the hardships facing them were also unprecedented in the history of the DPRK spanning more than 70 years.

In spite of the unprecedented trials–extreme moves of the hostile forces to stifle the DPRK, unexpected public health crisis following the inflow of the malignant infectious disease into the country and severe natural disasters–the Korean people advanced without any vacillation bringing about remarkable achievements which would be etched in the
5 000-year history of the nation.

Practical programmes, including the orientation of Party building in the new era, for enhancing the leadership role of the WPK, the General Staff of the Korean revolution, in every way possible, were presented, ushering in the golden age of the consolidation of the entire Party.

The country celebrated the 110th birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung and the 80th birth anniversary of Chairman Kim Jong Il as the grand national festivals and held an unprecedented-scale military parade on the occasion of the 90th founding anniversary of the Korean People’s Revolutionary Army, fully demonstrating its overall power.

When the malignant virus entered its territory, it exterminated it in a little more than 90 days by dint of the single-hearted unity of all its people closely united around the WPK. This was a great victory to be recorded in the history of international health care.

It also enshrined the state policy on the nuclear forces in law, developed and perfected unique weapons of new generations and organized military exercises and counterattack operations of its armed forces, clearly demonstrating its will to defend its independent dignity and sovereignty.

It completed Songhwa Street as the first stage of the project to construct 50 000 flats in Pyongyang, Pothong Riverside Terraced Houses District and the world-class Ryonpho Greenhouse Farm. It also built modern dwelling houses in the countryside and provided many machines to farms, unfolding a new look of the rural rejuvenation.

It enshrined it in law to provide dairy products to all the children across the country at the expense of the state and supplied school things and uniforms of new types to all the first-year students by invariably implementing the WPK’s policy of providing uniforms to students at the expense of the state.

It owes all the successes of this year to the devoted and self-sacrificing efforts of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un.

While glorifying Juche 111 (2022), a year of the harshest trials, as a year of victory united behind the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, the Korean people grew stronger and hardened their resolve to achieve a fresh victory of socialism by dint of the spirit of self-prosperity.
