New Models for Renovation of Regional Industry in the DPRK

 

An important policy of the Workers’ Party of Korea and the government of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea is to renovate the locally-run factories across the country and, on the basis of it, develop all the cities and counties in a balanced way.

Accordingly, the country set new standards and models for modern regional industry by renovating several factories in Kimhwa County, Kangwon Province, in 2022.

The foodstuff factory, garment factory, daily-necessities factory and paper mill in the county rely on the raw materials and resources rich in the local area and have solid foundations for satisfying the material demands of the local people.

Today, the country is undertaking the work of renovating the locally-run factories all over the country on the standard of the factories in Kimhwa County.
