Comrade Kim Jong Il (1942-2011), eternal
Chairman of the National Defence Commission of the Democratic People’s Republic
of Korea, maintained the Juche idea as his political philosophy in the
revolution and construction throughout his life.
The Juche idea clarifies that man is the master of
his own destiny and he has the strength with which to carve out his destiny.
In the closing years of last
century socialism collapsed in several countries in succession, but the DPRK
remained unperturbed; the credit should go to the line of independence
maintained by Kim Jong Il. When the allied imperialist forces of the
world were claiming about the “end of socialism,” he made public several works
including The Historical Lesson in
Building Socialism and the General Line of Our Party, Abuses of Socialism Are Intolerable and Socialism Is a Science. Through these works, the world was
convinced of his faith in the truthfulness and scientific accuracy of socialism
and inevitability of its triumph and his country’s unshakable will to remain
unchanged on the road of its own choice.
The exploit of exploits Kim
Jong Il performed was that he defended socialism by administering Songun
politics.
His Songun politics was a
powerful political mode that made his country firmly maintain independence in
the turbulent political situation of the world at the time.
With the end of the Cold War, the allied imperialist
forces led by the United States, the self-acclaimed one and only superpower in
the world, availed themselves of the destroyed balance of power on the planet
and resorted to high-handedness and arbitrariness on the international arena;
they were undisguised in their attempts to invade other countries and interfere
in their internal affairs. Particularly unprecedented were their pressure and
sanctions and attempts for an aggressive war against the DPRK that was steadily
following the road of socialism under the unfurled banner of anti-imperialist
independence.
In order to cope with the brigandish acts of the imperialists,
Kim Jong Il formulated Songun politics as the basic mode of socialist
politics, which requires giving precedence to military affairs over all other
affairs of the state on the principle of attaching importance to arms,
consolidating the driving force of the revolution with the army as the core and
main force and, by relying on it, advancing the socialist cause
victoriously.
This brought about a fundamental change in the human
and socialist political history.
Kim Jong Il led the struggle for defending socialism to victory by braving
the difficulties; he resolutely overpowered the imperialists and crushed their
outrageous pressure and challenges by responding with the tougher
countermeasure of wielding a sword when the enemy were drawing a knife and
levelling a cannon when they were pointing a gun.
The international community commented that the DPRK
was humbling the United States while saying what it had to say on the
international arena, that it was the only country that responds to the high-handed
and arbitrary acts of the United States on its own terms, that the United
States was on the defensive in the face of the independent Songun politics of
the DPRK, and that the DPRK was leading the United States which was said to be
leading the world.
The exploits performed by Kim Jong Il, a giant
of independent politics, will live for ever in the hearts of the progressive people
of the world.

DEAR COMRADES
On the occasion of the 82nd anniversary of the birth of the great leader, Comrade Kim Jong Il, the revolutionary Marxist-Leninist Party Communists of Serbia sends its most sincere greetings to the comrades from the Workers' Party of the DPR of Korea as well as to the entire Korean people who are marking this great date from their glorious history.
Comrade Kim Jong Il has led the country since 1994 under very difficult conditions. First of all, he had to preserve socialism, which had been destroyed in the USSR, Yugoslavia and other countries of Eastern Europe. He had to preserve with his comrades all the achievements that the party and the people had achieved under the leadership of Kim Il Sung.
He had to improve the country in all social fields, primarily military, security, scientific, economic, educational, health, cultural, sports, etc. He had to resist daily the pressures exerted on DPR Korea by the bearers of neo-fascism today, namely the USA and the most powerful countries of the EU.
He successfully completed all the tasks that the party and the people set before Comrade Kim Jong Il. He successfully held the most responsible positions in the country.
We will only mention the most important ones: General Secretary of the Workers' Party of the DPR Korea, Supreme Commander of the Korean People's Army, Chairman of the National Defense Committee of the DPR Korea, Chairman of the Central Military Commission of the Workers' Party of the DPR Korea, etc.
Those were huge responsibilities. Despite all
the trials, Kim Jong Il was a great visionary. We consider the
development of a nuclear program and nuclear weapons to be one of the greatest
victories achieved by the DPRK under the leadership of Kim Jong Il.
He knew full well that the neo-fascist USA would never militarily attack a nuclear power, which was what DPR Korea had become under the leadership of Kim Jong Il. It is important to emphasize that even then the DPR Korea built a humane society, a society of equality, without social differences, where all people have a job, where education and healthcare are available to everyone, where sports and art ennoble people.
It is a society without crime, without corruption and without violence where courage and honesty are the basic moral principles. When we look at DPR Korea today, we see that it is a country that continues the development of socialism on a human scale and preserves traditions, as well as the image and work of the great leader Kim Jong Il.
Today, DPR Korea is a country that the whole progressive world respects and respects. It is a fact that even the neo-fascist USA looks at DPR Korea with hatred as a respectable, nuclear, military and political power.
Today, the DPR of Korea is headed by Comrade Kim Jong Un who, together with his comrades, unfailingly leads the party and the country on the path of progress, using all the achievements of scientific and technological development in all areas of social creativity with an emphasis on nuclear and military potential.
The communists
of Serbia admire the comrades from the Workers' Party of the DPR of Korea who
destroyed capitalism to the ground, and started building a humane socialist
society from scratch, not allowing even the slightest return of capitalist
relations.
It is the best
example of Marxism-Leninism in practice. We want to improve cooperation and
friendship with the Workers' Party of the DPR of Korea on the foundations laid
by Marshal Josip Broz Tito and Kim Il Sung.

It is a moment of solemn remembrance, gratitude, and renewed commitment to the principles and ideals he cherished.
Kim Jong Il was more than a leader; he was the embodiment of resilience, determination, and unwavering devotion to the cause of socialism. Throughout his life, he dedicated himself tirelessly to the well-being and prosperity of the Korean people, leading it with wisdom, foresight, and unshakable resolve.
Under his visionary leadership, the DPR Korea achieved remarkable strides in various fields, from science and technology to culture and education. His unwavering commitment to Juche idea and the principles of self-reliance empowered the Korean people to overcome countless challenges and emerge stronger and more prosperous than ever before winning the historic battle against world imperialism.
Kim Jong Il's greatest legacy lies in the deep and abiding love he held for the Korean people. He was a leader who genuinely cared for every citizen, working tirelessly to ensure welfare and happiness. His boundless compassion and empathy inspired the Korean people to strive for a better future and to uphold the noble ideals of socialism.
As we honor his memory today, the Workers Party of Korea is committed to carry forward the torch of his revolutionary legacy. The Korean people will continue going forward on the principles of independence, self-reliance, and national sovereignty that he held dear. The Korean people will continue to work tirelessly to build a thriving socialist society that embodies the ideals of prosperity, equality, and justice for all.
In commemorating the life and legacy of Kim Jong Il, let us also take a moment to express our deepest gratitude for his profound contributions to the Korean nation and people. His vision, leadership, and unwavering dedication will forever be remembered and cherished in the annals of revolutionary history.
As the Korean people strive to realize the noble aspirations he set forth, it will draw inspiration from his indomitable spirit and unwavering commitment to the cause of socialism. The Korean people, working class, youth and Peoples Army will march forward with courage, unity, and determination towards a brighter future for the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.
