 Seminar on the Exploits of the great leader Comrade Kim Jong Il 

On the occasions of the 14st anniversary of the passing away of the great leader Comrade Kim Jong Il, the Serbian Committee for Honoring the Memory of Comrade Kim Jong Il organized a seminar on December 13, 2025.

Mr. Viktor Janković, Chairman of the Serbian Committee for Honoring the Memory and Chairman of the Serbian National Committee on the Study of the Juche Idea addressed as follows:

“This year marks the 14th anniversary of the demise (December 17, 2011) of Kim Jong Il, chairman of the National Defence Commission of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea. More than ten years have passed since his demise, but his image is still etched in the minds of the Korean people.

As ever, they wear a badge inscribed with his image on their chest, and his portraits are on the interior walls of homes and offices. In the streets there are artistic works portraying him with a broad smile. Every day local radio and television start their service with the playing of Song of General Kim Il Sung and Song of General Kim Jong Il. People study his ideas deeply and make determined efforts to carry through the cause of socialism he defended all his life. Every place is seething with the effort to realize his lifelong desire.

This is probably because his lifetime exploits are too great and have eternal vitality.

Each of his ideas and theories was encyclopaedic as they graphically represented the times and maintained their continuity, and they were so profound in their breadth and depth that they gave perfect answers to any problems. Thanks to his energetic ideological and theoretical activities, the Korean people could become a strong-willed people who always emerge victorious with sure guidelines in the revolution and construction.”

A participant said as follows:

“When the imperialists made desperate attempts to isolate and stifle the country and imposed sanctions on it in a bid to end its socialism in the closing years of the last century, he defended socialism firmly by establishing Songun politics as the basic political mode of socialism, and performed epochal exploits of providing a springboard for building a prosperous state.

He was on the road of devotion for people’s happiness throughout his life. This is well evidenced by the fact alone that the last document he examined just before his death was about the peoples living. He was, indeed, the greatest of the great and genuine father of the people who made immortal contributions to accomplishing the socialist cause of the DPRK.

His cause is being invariably carried forward by Kim Jong Un, president of the State Affairs of the DPRK.”

Following the seminar, all participants watched the Korean documentary film.
