 Serbian Preparatory Committee Established to Mark the 78th Founding Anniversary of the DPRK

Today, the Serbian Preparatory Committee for Celebrating the 78th Founding Anniversary of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) was established on the initiative of the New Communist Party of Yugoslavia (NKPJ) and the Serbian National Committee on the Study of the Juche Idea.

The Committee has been established with the aim of preparing and coordinating activities in Serbia dedicated to the 78th anniversary of the founding of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, which will be marked on 9 September 2026.

As part of the commemorative programme, the Committee will organise activities aimed at presenting the history and development of the DPRK, as well as promoting greater public awareness of the Juche Idea and its historical and political significance.

The programme will also provide an opportunity to highlight the tradition of relations between the peoples of Serbia and Korea and to encourage further contacts, dialogue and cooperation.

Representatives of the New Communist Party of Yugoslavia and the Serbian National Committee on the Study of the Juche Idea, together with other participants and supporters, will take part in the activities of the Preparatory Committee.

On the occasion of 112th anniversary of birth of great President Kim Il Sung (April 15th,1912)

A Serbian preparatory committee for cele brating the birth anniversary of leader  KIM IL SUNG  (Day of Sun) was formed on March 24, 2024. Viktor Jankovic, chairman of the Organization for the Study of the Juche Idea of Serbia, was elected chairman of the preparatory committee. The committee decided to hold political and cultural events including a celebration meeting, seminar and film show in praise of the revolutionary career and undying feats of KIM IL SUNG on this anniversary.
